Lots of activities will showcase the Independence Day on September 18th, 2010
Ski Portillo, Chile. – Ski Portillo is preparing several days of activities to celebrate their Bicenntenial of Chile’s Independence Day on September 18th, 2010.
Portillo’s chef, Rafael Figueroa, will prepare typical Chilean cuisine to commemorate the day for all the guests of the hotel, and there are preparations to have a couple of folklore groups and special activities for the kids, to recreate how Chile got liberated from Spain on September 18th, 1810.
Ski Portillo is entering September with lots of sunny days and corn snow, which makes it easier to ski or board the off-piste, even for intermediate skiers or boarders.
Weekly programmes can be bought by your local travel agency. Rates start at USD 1590 per person in a Double Valley Room at the Gran Hotel Portillo, or at USD 650 in a bunk bed in a shared room at the hostel-type Inca Lodge. Prices are per person and based on a Saturday-to-Saturday stay. All packages include:
- Seven days unlimited access to ski lifts *
- Seven nights lodging
- Four meals per day (breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner)
- Complimentary use of pool, Jacuzzi, fitness centre, gymnasium, aerobics and yoga classes, cinema, game room, children’s activities, disco, piano bar, ski check, boot check and timed race courses.
- Day care for children ages 3 to 7 is free of charge
- Day care for children 0 to 2 has an additional cost.
*If guests check out before 10.00 AM on the Saturday of their departure, they will receive an 8th day of lift ticket for free.
